About Us
The Great Baikal Trail Association is a federation of organizations, businesses and individuals dedicated to developing the Baikal region economically in a way that complements -- rather than subtracts from -- the area's natural beauty. To effect these ends, the Association is putting in place the necessary infrastructure for ecotourism: well-built and reliably-marked nature trails.
The Irkutsk office is staffed mostly by local and foreign volunteers, many of them current or recent college students. To find out more about the people currently in the office, click here.
