Project area:
Zabaikalskij national park
Work proposed:
The group will clear the trail of encroaching
vegetation, repair bridges and turn-pikes, complete the construction
of rest-points and put up information sign-posts.
Volunteer accommodation:
Sleeping in tents
Entertainment and
excursions: Rest and relaxation on the
shore of Baikal at Chiverkuvskij bay with the opportunity to visit
the hot springs and a banya.
Important:
Children from the local centre
for tourism will also be taking part in the project under the
instruction of their teacher. Their camp will be next to the main
volunteer’s camp and so we respectfully ask that volunteers on this
project restrict their use of alcohol and cigarettes (i.e.; in
designated areas only).

29th August – 18th September 2005
(the project would be more successful if it was carried out over 3
weeks).
Project area:
Zabaikalskij national park
Work proposed:
The group will clear the trail of encroaching
vegetation, repair bridges and turn-pikes, complete the construction
of rest-points and put up information sign-posts.
Volunteer accommodation:
The group will be sleeping in tents
but hiking to a new camp-site along the trail on a regular basis.

shore of Baikal at Chiverkuvskij bay with the opportunity to visit
the hot springs and a banya.
