1 day tour of Ulan-Ude walks along the main streets of the city, visiting museums. You'll see the giant head of Lenin, visit the museum of Histrory of Buryatia where now one of the unique pieces of ancient cultures the Tibetan Medicine Atlas is on diplay. You'll also see the display of buddhist sculptures and icons (thangkas). You'll get acquainted with the lifestyle of peoples living in Zabaikalye (Transbaikal region) in the Ethnorgaphic open air museum. You'll have an opportunity to visit functioning orthodox church - St. Trinity Cathedral. You'll also see the main monuments of Ulan-Ude, the Victory memorial devoted to WWII, the Black Tulip memorial to the soldiers died in the Chechenian war.
