Who we are

Some years ago we realized a project that was named "B&B" (Baikal Bed and Breakfast). It pointed towards the development of a private hotel chain and the "Bed&Breakfast" system in Siberia. It works successfully at the moment and runs another territories.

The private hotels are to be found practically in each inhabited locality around Baikal. You will be hospitably entertained by the hotelkeepers. They will provide you with a bedroom where you'll be able to shake down for the night and they will also fix breakfast for you before you go for a trip again. The price ranges from 15 and 25 dollars.

There are a lot of retirees and farmers among these hotelkeepers. The income of some of them leaves much to be desired, so taking in lodgers gives a good opportunity for them to earn their living. Mothers who have small children are also glad to act as hostess as it gives them a chance to work at home.

Lodgers are received with open arms especially by lonely people, because they keep them a genial company. Lodges, especially foreigners, break the uniformity of the hotelkeepers' life. In fact those who work in the "B&B" system are more interested in relating to their guests, than in some financial interest. Lodgers are not only treated as a money earner but also as a source of joy. Hotelkeepers usually meet guests as if they were their friends. They will feel hurt if you treat their hospitality just as a service. But if you find a special favour in the eyes of a master, he will invite you to have supper with his family or he will offer you to make a trip about the country by his car.
